Lg dryer what does cooling mean

Basically, on the newer LG dryers, they have a sensor built in that monitors the pressure in the drum to determine the airflow and the condition of the vent, thus warning you of potential fire risks due to dryer vent issues.

Dryer heating element runs on volts, 30 amps whilst the motor, control panel, inside lights and the electronics all work on volts 15 amps. The main cause of these dryer fires can be one of several things 1. The dryer exhaust venting duct being too long, too many elbows and plugged up with lint 2.

The hose being constricted, crushed or clogged with lint and moisture thus preventing correct airflow from the dryer. The vent cap on the outside is packed with lint thus lint has backed up through the dryer vent and has been accumulating inside the dryer. Clothes dryer manufacturers are actually mandated to include safety systems to check for over heating and turn off dryer immediately if detected so as to prevent any fire hazard.

To clear the flow sense error you would need to either have dryer vent cleaning done, reroute the dryer vent, change the hose behind the dryer or shorten the length of the dryer vent. Here at Dryer Vent Cleaner we always run a pressure test on the dryer vent to prove that the dryer is happy with the clean dryer vent or with the rerouted or replaced dryer vent. We also run the built-in diagnostics on the LG dryer to prove the dryer is happy with the dryer duct after we do our service.

Drying your clothes for a long time at high temperature may damage your clothing. A fine example of this damage is the lint collected in the filter trap. Did you ever as a kid, pack the exhaust of a car with snow, only to watch the car start up then stall and after stop running?

Well, a dryer whose dryer vent exhaust is clogged does exactly the same. Be sure to check outside to see how much or how little airflow there is. If you have a louvered vent cap, good airflow has the flaps almost parallel to the ground. Also, remove the lint trap and using a flashlight peek below to see how much lint is stuck below. Lint stuck below the dryers lint trap can cause the clothes to take longer to dry as it acts as a plug, restricting the air flow.

We recommend changing the hose for a more solid setup and can make suggestions if we come out to fix your issues with the dryer vent.

Dryer Vent Cleaner. The Kenmore Elite HE3 is 7. That cooling light will normally stay on constantly during the cycle. It will begin blinking at the end of the cycle when the cycle goes into the cool down.

If that light begins blinking shortly after starting the dryer in an automatic moisture sensing cycle then you could have a problem with the moisture sensing circuit. In that situation, see if the dryer will heat and run properly in a Time Dry cycle. If it works properly in the Time Dry cycle then I recommend that you check the sensor bars to see if they are coated with residue or lint that could prevent the control from detecting moisture.

Those bars are on the lint screen housing just inside the dryer door. If necessary, you can clean those bars with rubbing alcohol. If those bars are clean, then you could have a wiring failure or a control failure that is causing this problem. If the cooling light stays on constantly and does not blink before the dryer turns off, then the moisture sensing bars are probably not causing this failure.

You may see an error code when the dryer stops. I recommend that you check that display. I have replaced the heating element, the thermostat the thermositorand the thermal fuse, and the control board but no luck, any ideas? Mine is only 3 months old. I can't find anything about it in the user manual. This light is on the whole time I'm drying my clothes and I'm wondering if it is supposed to be and, if not, how do I turn it off?

My concern is that it's preventing my dryer from getting as hot as it should. However, since I don't understand the button at all I might just be up in the night literally.

I've got a load drying right now I don't dare go to bed until I check to make sure everything is dry and doesn't require another cycle. After a cycle, they are still quite damp. They shouldn't be that damp after 45 minutes in the dryer and being as well-wrung out as they were when they went in. Open the windows and the door to the room to let out the humidity. BTW, what icon are you talking about? Ok it's not a cooling button thing. However, the fact that the dryer is not really drying my clothes is a very real issue. The good news is that when I called LG- twice- last night, they have customer service people who are working at midnight- and they are even American! The bad news is that despite the things they told me to do- the dryer still isn't drying my clothes as it should.

I'm sorry but after an hour on the Cotton dry cycle using mid heat and the very dry option, the clothes should be dry. I'm wondering if it is an issue with installation? Late last night I had the laundry room door closed while I was drying and when I went in, it was quite humid in there. I live in a arid climate so extra humidity is quickly noticeable. Should I call LG again or Sears? All I know is that if this is the best that dryer can do- they can take it back.

I'm not paying this much money for something that's not as good as the one I got rid of- and I got rid of it because the dry times were becoming so long.I'm just wanting to find out what this icon means.
