This is as far as I have gotten. I've tried to look into AddColumn, GroupBy, but I can't seem to find an example that uses a SharePoint list rather than an imported table to make this work, and I don't completely understand the conditions required of these functions. I'm pretty new to the syntax of this software.
Any explanation you can provide would be extremely helpful. Go to Solution. I have created a SP list on my side, the data structure as below:. Please take a try with the following workaround:. Similar formula for Label control in Pie Chart 2 control. More details about GroupBy function, please check the following article:. GroupBy function. View solution in original post.
After some extra reading, I understand better how PowerApps creates and uses tables. Now I am trying to change the count function to something that will display the percentages instead of "true" and "false" and getting stuck at that point. I had seen another example where GroupBy's expression is a Text function that uses the Sum function to express fractions of my column records am I understanding that correctly? Thanks very much! This worked perfectly. I didn't realize that it was going to work better to use a separate label to display the percent, rather than try to change the label in the PieChart.
That makes so much more sense! Also, thank you so much for the specific code examples. I've had trouble understanding what is a function word and what is an example column, etc. Innovate, Collaborate, Grow - The top training and networking event across the globe for Microsoft Business Applications.

You could always send a frowny face to support from the Desktop and ask them what is going on. Something is definitely off because I cannot replicate your issue. I can't think of anything special or tricky that I did to get it to work and I can't think of anything that you might have switched on in terms of table properties, etc.

The problem is with Table visual. Refereing to your blog post, are you using table visual or multi-row card visual in your example? I have exactly the same setup as you mentioned in your example.
Yes I have december update. I think something is not working as expected. I will send a frowny to MS guys and see what they say. My custom measure looses formatting. Once the desktop file is closed and re-opened, the formatting is gone. I'm seeing the same thing for the first time too.
The only thing different for me was that I connected to an existing dataset from the Power BI service in Power BI desktop and added a couple of measures. You can use the in and exactin operators to find a string in a data sourcesuch as a collection or an imported table. The in operator identifies matches regardless of case, and the exactin operator identifies matches only if they're capitalized the same way.
Here's an example:. Create or import a collection named Inventoryand show it in a gallery, as the first procedure in Show images and text in a gallery describes. The gallery shows all products except Callisto because the name of that product is the only one that doesn't contain the letter you specified. The gallery shows only Europa because only its name contains the letter that you specified in the case that you specified.
You can show data in GalleryEdit formor Display form controls by binding it to a table or a collection. These controls are a container for other cards and controls. Each card or control within the container can access the bound data through the ThisItem operator.
Use the ThisItem operator to specify the column of data to be displayed in each card or control within the outer control.
For example, that operator in the product gallery for Show images and text in a gallery specified that the image control showed the product design, the upper label showed the product name, and the lower label showed the number of units in stock. For nested galleries, ThisItem refers to the innermost gallery's items.
Assuming the row fields in the inner and outer galleries don't conflict, you can also use the unqualified field column names directly. This approach enables rules in an inner gallery to refer to an outer gallery's items. Some controls host other controls. For example, ScreenGalleryCardEdit formand Display form controls are all containers for controls. We call the hosting control the "parent" of the controls within.
Any control in Power Apps can be referenced by name from anywhere within the app. Screen1 may be the name of a screen in your app.
Value function in Power Apps
To retrieve the background color of this screen, you can use Screen1. Controls on this screen have another option.
They can use a relative reference: Parent. The Parent operator refers to the control that hosts this control, making available all of its properties.
Using Parent is helpful because it doesn't depend on the name of the control. You can copy and paste a container control without needing to adjust any references within the container. This operator also makes the relationship between child and parent controls clearer when reading formulas.
The names of variables, data sources, columns, and other objects can contain any Unicode. Use single quotes around a name that contains a space or other special character. As this post shows, it is possible to show labels in a pie chart as percentages.
Go to Solution. I could not find the Markers property within the Pie Chart control. Do you mean that you want to view the markers in the Column Chart control as percentage?
If you want to view the markers in the Column Chart control as percentages, based on the thread that you provided, I have made a test on my side, I think the Text function may not achieve your needs. As an alternative solution, I think Text function toggle with the MakerSuffix property of the Column Chart could achieve your needs.
I have made a test on my side, please take a try with the following workaround:. Set the Items property of the Column Chart control to following:. Set the Series1 property to of the Column Chart control to Percentage column. In addition, if you want to view the markers in the Line Chart control as percentages, I have made a test, I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in PowerApps currently.

The reason for this, is that I am presenting a diagram from a larger Sharepoint list, with information on all users. I want each user to be able to see only their own information. I tried adjusting Series axis min and Series axis maxbut it didn't help. Thanks again.
